Your Venue management account has the functionality for you to create and edit a variety of BEO content panels, as well as multiple BEO layouts to accommodate different situations (i.e. front of house BEO, kitchen BEO, etc). Every business has different practices and needs, so no two business will have identical BEO formatting.
To Create Content Panels for BEO Layouts (in Settings):
We have already created a number of BEO panels based on information that populates from tools within specific events. In addition to this, you can create custom panels from scratch and/or further customize the existing panels. NOTE: for more about editing existing BEO panels, see Creating/Editing Content Panels for BEO Layouts.
- Click on your name in the top left corner and select the "Settings" option.
- Under the "Application Setup" heading, click on the "Banquet Event Order (BEO) Content Panels" link.
- Click on "Create Panel" at the top of the screen.
- Select any existing panel titles to add that panel, edit the title, add a panel description, and "Save".
- Select "Custom" to add a custom panel, enter the panel title add a panel description and "Save".
NOTE: for more about editing existing BEO panels, see Creating/Editing Content Panels for BEO Layouts.
For more about adding custom BEO panels, see Adding Custom Panels/Fields to BEOs.
Within each panel on this page, you can edit and customize fields and choose whether to show or hide detailed information on your BEO. For example, a client-facing BEO may not need to include a BEO number, or the contact information for vendors.
To Edit Fields in Content Panels for BEO Layouts (in Settings):
- Click on your name in the top left corner and select the "Settings" option.
- Under the "Application Setup" heading, click on the "Banquet Event Order (BEO) Content Panels" link.
- Locate the panel for which you would like to edit fields.
- Click the drop down arrow next to any existing fields to edit/hide the field.
- Click the "Add Field" button to add a custom field.
- Click the circle with a line next to any details within a field to hide that detail on your BEO.
NOTE: for more about creating/editing your content panels and fields for BEOs, see Creating/Editing Content Panels for BEO Layouts.
Once you've created your BEO content panels, you can use them to assemble a variety of BEO layouts. There are a few BEO layouts pre-populated in your account, but you add as many customized layouts as you require. NOTE: For more about creating custom BEO layouts, see Creating/Customizing BEO Layouts.
You can access the BEO Layouts settings in two different ways:
- From your account Settings under the "Application Setup" heading (select the "Banquet Event Order (BEO) Layouts" link)
- While managing your BEO Content Panels/Fields by clicking on the "BEO Layouts" button at the top of the screen.
To Create BEO Layouts (in Settings):
- Click on your name in the top left corner and select the "Settings" option.
- Under the "Application Setup" heading, click on the "Banquet Event Order (BEO) Layouts" link.
- Click on "Add New BEO Layout" to name your BEO, select the number of columns you want to appear, and hit "Save".
- Click on "Add Panels" to add any of the panels you set up previously. NOTE: panels must already be added in your "Banquet Event Order (BEO) Content Panels" settings in order to be implemented in any BEO layout.
- Drag and drop your panels using the crossed arrows icon in the upper left to organize them in your BEO columns.
- Click "Return to BEO Layouts" to add another layout.
NOTE: when making changes to your BEO layouts in Settings, those changes actively impact the BEOs within individual events that are using these layouts. For example, if you remove a panel from the layout settings for a BEO, that panel will also be removed from a BEO created from that layout within an individual event. This is truly a setting - NOT a template.
For more about BEO layouts, see Creating/Customizing BEO Layouts.
