Planning Pod allows you to create repeat events in order to quickly populate your calendar for events that recur on a regular schedule. Some important notes to remember:
- Repeat Events are only available in certain account Packages. They are included in the Venue 50 and above and the Enterprise 50 and above.
- Repeat events should be used for events that do not require a lot of customization from one event to the next. (If you need to make any invoice, headcount, or contract edits, then you should duplicate the event rather than as a repeat event)
- You will only be able to work on the current reoccurrence of the event until it is complete.
- At midnight after the end of the current event it will be automatically archived and the new event will be created.
- Keep in mind: documents, such as paid invoices, signed contracts and proposals will copy over a new edition when the event moves to the next date. Example- If the contract was signed in the first event, a new unsigned copy will be available to use in the second event.
What if my event happens on the 3rd Monday of every month?
You can still utilize the repeat events to help minimize the amount of active event space you are using. Instead of 12 separate events, you can minimize to 3-4 when utilizing the 'weekly' option when setting up repeat events. Keep in Mind: you might need to make a stand alone event every once in a while, depending on the date and how it falls on the calendar.
