Planning Pod is a fully responsive application, meaning it is built to work on all devices - desktop computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones. NOTE: The exception to this is our Floorplans tool, which is not formatted for editing capabilities on any touch screen device. While Floorplans can be easily viewed on touch screen devices, they can only be edited on Mac or PC computers. All other tools within Planning Pod are fully responsive on any device.
The most efficient way to use Planning Pod on a tablet or smartphone is to download a bookmark to your smartphone screen so you can access it with a single touch.
Adding Planning Pod to an iPhone/iPad:
- Open Safari on your device and load the planningpod.com website.
- Navigate to the login screen on the planningpod.com website (you do not need to log in).
- At the bottom of the screen, tap the "Share" icon (a square with an "up" arrow).
- Scroll to the right in the bottom menu until you see the "Add To Homescreen" icon (a plus sign) and tap it.
- Save the Planning Pod login page bookmark to your homescreen (you have the option to rename the bookmark if you wish).
Adding Planning Pod to an Android Device:
- Open the web browser (preferably Google Chrome or Firefox) on your device and load the planningpod.com website.
- Navigate to the login screen on the planningpod.com website (you do not need to log in).
- At the top of the browser, tap the "Menu" icon (three vertical dots).
- In the dropdown menu, choose the "Add to Homescreen" option. The bookmark will automatically be added to your homescreen.
- NOTE: Due to the diversity in Android devices, your device may differ slightly from the directions above. Please consult your device-specific instructions to learn how to add a website to your homescreen.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We do not have native apps (like an iPhone app / iPad app / Android app ) for smartphones or tablets at this time, so you will not find a Planning Pod app in any app store. However, our application is fully responsive on any device, which means it works on any device - computers, tablets and smartphones - via that device's Web browser. The exception to this is our Floorplans tool, which is not formatted for use on any touch screen device. While Floorplans can be easily viewed on touch screen devices, they can only be edited on Mac or PC computers.
