Creating/Using Contract Templates

Video Tip - Go to the 5:01 mark of the video to view information on how to work with Contract Templates.

To Create a New Contract Template from Scratch:

  1. Click on "Templates" in the main navigation bar and click on the "Contract Templates" link.
  2. Click on the "Add Template" button.
  3. Enter the Contract reference/name and your contractual text.
  4. Click "Save" when you are finished.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Want to paste text from a document into Planning Pod? Read these copy-and-paste instructions first.

To Create a Contract Template from an Existing Contract:

  1. Click on the "Contracts" tool button in the Event Dashboard - OR - click on "Contracts" in the main navigation bar.
  2. Click on the "Import/Export" button and selec the "Save as Template" button.
  3. From the dropdown menu, select one or more Contracts that you wish to save as Templates.
  4. After clicking "Save", the selected Contracts will be saved as new Contract Templates in the Templates area, which you can now edit and modify.

To Import a Contract Template into a New Contract:

  1. Click on the "Contracts" tool button in the Event Dashboard - OR - click on "Contracts" in the main navigation bar.
  2. Click on the "Import/Export" button and select the "Import Template as New Contract" option.
  3. From the dropdown menu, select one or more Contract Templates that you wish to import as new Contracts.
  4. After clicking "Save", the selected Templates will be saved as new Contracts. They will include all details from the Templates (including the name), which you can now edit and modify.
