Creating/Using Contract Templates

To Create a New Contract Template from Scratch:

  1. Click on "Templates" in the top navigation bar.
  2. Find the "Contracts" box and click "Manage Templates".
  3. Click on the "Add New Template" button.
  4. Enter the Contract name and your contractual/terms-of-agreement language.
    • IMPORTANT NOTE IF YOU ARE COPYING TEXT FROM ANOTHER DOCUMENT: Copy-and-pasting text directly from MS Word (or similar program) may introduce formatting that causes issues. To avoid this, first copy-and-paste into a text editor tool (like Notepad for Windows or TextEdit for Mac) to remove formatting and then copy-and-paste from there into this area.
  5. Click "Save" when you are finished.

To Create a Contract Template from an Existing Contract:

  1. Click on the "Contracts" tool button in the Event Dashboard - OR - click on "Contracts" in the main navigation bar.
  2. Click on the "Save as Templates" button.
  3. From the dropdown menu, select one or more Contracts that you wish to save as Templates.
  4. After clicking "Save", the selected Contracts will be saved as new Contract Templates in the Templates area, which you can now edit and modify.

To Import a Contract Template into a New Contract:

  1. Click on the "Contracts" tool button in the Event Dashboard - OR - click on "Contracts" in the main navigation bar.
  2. Click on the "Import Template" button.
  3. From the dropdown menu, select one or more Contract Templates that you wish to import as new Contracts.
  4. After clicking "Save", the selected Templates will be saved as new Contracts. They will include all details from the Template (including the name), which you can now edit and modify.
