Video Tip - Go to the 7:50 mark of the video to view information on how to work with Budget Templates.

With our Budget Template tool, you can build reusable budgets for your Events. A key feature is that you can set each Line Item as a fixed amount or as a percentage of the overall Event budget (which is automatically calculated when you import the Item into the Event).

To Create a New Budget Template from Scratch:

  1. Click on "Templates" in the main navigation bar and click on the "Budget Templates" link.
  2. Click on the "Add Template" button.
  3. Enter the Budget name and click "Save".

This brings you to the Budget Template Dashboard where you can add unlimited Line Items and Categories to assign them to.

  • Adding Budget Line Items
    1. Click on "Add Item" button.
    2. Enter details for the item name; category; type (expense or income); and calculation method (select either "fixed amount" or "percentage of target budget" from the dropdown menu and enter the appropriate amount).
    3. Click "Save" when you are finished.
    4. Repeat until you have added all the Line Items you need.
  • Adding Budget Categories
    1. In the Categories area, click on the "Add" button.
    2. Type in the Category name and click "Save".
    3. Repeat until you have added all your Categories.

To Create a Budget Template from an Existing Budget:

  3. Enter the Template name and click "Save".
  4. After clicking "Save", the Budget has been saved as a new Template, which you can now edit and modify in the Templates area.

To Import a Budget Template into a New Budget:
