Manage Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Settings

You can customize the title tag and meta description for your Event Website, both of which search engines use when listing your site on search engine results pages. Search engines also consider these two items when categorizing and ranking websites. Ideally, title tags should be no more than 55 characters long and meta descriptions should be no more than 160 characters long.

To Manage/Modify the Search Engine Optimization Settings:

1. Click on the "Event Website" tool button on the Event Dashboard - OR - use the Quick Launch tool to select the appropriate Event and the "Event Website" tool.
2. Under the "Global Settings" box, find the "Search Engine Optimization (SEO)" area and click on the "Edit" link next to the appropriate item (Title Tag or Meta Description).
3. Add your text and click "Save".
4. Repeat if you want to modify the other SEO item.

NOTE: This is an advanced website setting. If you are not sure how this works, please leave the default setting as is.
