Adding/Managing Video Panels

The video panel feature lets you embed a video in an Event Website. With this panel, you can display a YouTube or Vimeo video inside the Website that your attendees can view directly on the site.

By default, we provide you with a video panel in every new Event Website, and you can modify, move or delete this panel as well as add additional video panels to a site if you want to display more than one video clip.

To Add a Video Panel to an Event Website:

1. Click on the "Event Website" tool button on the Event Dashboard - OR - use the Quick Launch tool to select the appropriate Event and the "Event Website" tool.
2. Click the "Add New Panel" button.
3. Under "Add Other Panels", select "Video Panel".
4. The new panel will be added to the top of the Event Website and you can move or modify this panel using the panel controls next to the panel.

To Embed a YouTube Video:

1. Click on the "Text/Video Link" button next to the panel.
2. Add a headline and select the headline color.
3. Add the body text and select the body text color.
4. Add the link URL to the YouTube video by doing the following:
• Go to the YouTube page that displays the video and click on "Share".
• Click on the "Embed" option (NOT the "Share" option) and copy-and-paste ONLY the Embed URL (NOT the entire code snippet). The Embed URL should look similar to this: https://www.youtube.com/embed/RDZIKxEOGz4
• Copy this link and paste it in the "Link to Video" field.
5. Click "Save" when you are finished.

To Embed a Vimeo Video:

1. Click on the "Text/Video Link" button next to the panel.
2. Add a headline and select the headline color.
3. Add the body text and select the body text color.
4. Add the link URL to the Vimeo video by doing the following:
• In your Vimeo account, go to the video's "Settings" and click on "Embed".
• Click on the "Get Embed Code" link and copy-and-paste ONLY the Embed URL (NOT the entire code snippet). The Embed URL should look similar to this: https://player.vimeo.com/video/108672575
• Copy this link and paste it in the "Link to Video" field.
5. Click "Save" when you are finished.

To Manage Other Options for a Video Panel:

1. To select a background color for the panel:
• Click on the "Background Color" button.
• Click on the color picker tool; select a color; and click "Save".
2. To move a video panel:
• Click on the "Move Panel" button and select the desired option (move up one, move down one, move to top, move to bottom).
3. To remove a video panel:
• Click on the "Remove Panel" button.
• NOTE: This will permanently delete the panel and its associated information. There is no way to recover this deleted information.
