Video Tip - Go to the 3:28 mark of the video to view information on how to collect responses to a form.
You can collect responses from multiple respondents for any Form you create in your account, and the system will save and compile the responses for you.
Here is generally how the process works:
- You can send an email from the Form Dashboard (which contains a link to the Form) to collect responses from any Users who are assigned to the Event - OR - you can copy-and-paste the URL link to the Form and share it with people you want to collect responses from.
- Potential respondents click on the link to the form (which exists outside your account on a secure page); complete the questions; and submit them.
- Optional: If the signer wishes to update/modify their responses, they click on the Form link; enter their email address (which they entered the first time they opened the form and which serves as their password); and make their revisions.
- All responses are collected and compiled for easy viewing and can be downloaded to a PDF or .CSV document.
To Email a Link to Collect Responses to a Form:
- Click on the "Forms Builder" tool button on the Event or Lead Dashboard - OR - use the Quick Launch or Switch Event tool to select the appropriate Event and the "Forms Builder" tool.
- Find the appropriate Form and click on it.
- Click on the "Email Form to Gather Responses" button
- Choose the email address you would like to send from (the defaults are set in your account settings but can be edited when sending).
- Choose the recipients in the "To" field.
- Customize the subject line and body text and click "Send Now" when you are ready to send.
To Use the Form Link to Collect Responses:
- Click on the "Forms Builder" tool button on the Event or Lead Dashboard - OR - use the Quick Launch or Switch Event tool to select the appropriate Event and the "Forms Builder" tool.
- Find the appropriate Form and click on it.
- Find the "Form URL" to the right of the page and copy the entire link.
- Once copied, you can paste this link into your own emails or messages to potential respondents.
Once a respondent clicks on the Form URL link, they will be taken to the Form page (outside of your account) where they can record their responses.
NOTE: Sending someone the Form URL link DOES NOT give them access to your account. It only gives them access to the form itself on a page outside of your account so they can complete and submit their responses to the form's questions.
