You can add rectangular tables - also commonly known as banquet tables - one at a time or in multiples with a grid or end-to-end layout pattern for a quick way to build a layout of the same table type. You can also quickly make edits to a single banquet table or to multiple banquet tables at the same time.
To Add a Single Banquet Table From the Library:
- Click on the "Floorplans" tool button on the Event Dashboard - OR - use the Quick Launch or Switch Event tool to select the appropriate Event and the "Floorplans" tool.
- Find the appropriate Floorplan to which you want to add elements and click on it.
- On the Floorplan Dashboard, select the "Library" tab in the left column and click on the "Tables & Seating" icon .
- Click-and-hold on the appropriate icon for the banquet table you want and drag it to where you want to place it on the Floorplan canvas (you can always move/adjust it later).
- A form will appear that lets you edit:
- Color
- Label
- Table number
- Ability to add multiple tables (covered below)
- Clear area width (clear space on the shorter dimension of the table, top to bottom)
- Clear area length (clear space on the longer dimension of the table, left to right)
- Chair type
- Number of chairs on each side of the table (top, bottom, right end and left end)
- Click "Save" when you are finished. You will be taken back to the Floorplan Dashboard where you can view and adjust the position of the table by dragging-and-dropping it.
To Add a Custom Banquet/Rectangular Table:
If you cannot find the correct dimensions of your banquet table in our standard element library, you can create your own custom-sized banquet or rectangular table.
- Click on the "Floorplans" tool button on the Event Dashboard - OR - use the Quick Launch or Switch Event tool to select the appropriate Event and the "Floorplans" tool.
- Find the appropriate Floorplan to which you want to add elements and click on it.
- On the Floorplan Dashboard, select the "Library" tab in the left column and click on the "Tables & Seating" icon .
- Click-and-hold on the "Custom Rectangular Table" element and drag it to where you want to place it on the Floorplan canvas (you can always move/adjust it later).
- A form will appear that lets you edit:
- Color
- Label
- Table number
- Ability to add multiple tables (covered below)
- Clear area width (clear space on the shorter dimension of the table, top to bottom)
- Clear area length (clear space on the longer dimension of the table, left to right)
- Table width (shorter dimension of the table, top to bottom)
- Table length (longer dimension of the table, left to right)
- Chair type
- Number of chairs on each side of the table (top, bottom, right end and left end)
- Click "Save" when you are finished. You will be taken back to the Floorplan Dashboard where you can view and adjust the position of the table by dragging-and-dropping it.
To Add Multiple Banquet Tables in a Pattern:
NOTE: This option is if you want to add multiple rows of tables (and multiple tables in each row) at a single time and have them automatically laid out in a grid or end-to-end.
- Click on the "Floorplans" tool button on the Event Dashboard - OR - use the Quick Launch or Switch Event tool to select the appropriate Event and the "Floorplans" tool.
- Find the appropriate Floorplan to which you want to add elements and click on it.
- On the Floorplan Dashboard, select the "Library" tab in the left column and click on the "Tables & Seating" icon .
- Click-and-hold on the appropriate icon for the banquet table you want to use and drag it to where you want to place your table pattern on the Floorplan canvas (you can always move/adjust all tables in the pattern later).
- In the form that appears, click on the "Add Multiple Tables" checkbox.
- Type in the number of rows you desire, the number of tables per row and the format style (grid style will align individual tables with each other, end-to-end will place tables in long rows with the short ends abutting each other).
- In the "Starting Table Number" field, add the first number you wish your table layout to begin with.
- In the "Clear Area Width/Length" fields, add the amount of clear space that will surround each table. NOTE: This clear area will determine how far apart the tables are spaced from each other in the pattern you select.
- Add the label, chair type and number of chairs that you want to apply to all tables in the pattern. NOTE: If you select the end-to-end option, you can only place tables on the top and bottom long sides of each table (not the ends).
- Click "Save" when you are finished. All the tables will be automatically selected, so you can click on one and drag the entire group of tables to where you wish to place them.
To Edit/Duplicate/Delete a Banquet Table:
- Click on the appropriate table on the canvas.
- A dynamic menu of editing options will appear in the top-left of the canvas. To make an edit, click on the appropriate item. From left to right, the options include:
- Table number - Click in the field to change the table number.
- Favorite - Adds the selected item to your Favorites library.
- Edit - Opens the editing modal window.
- Rotate - Lets you rotate the table up to 360 degrees.
- Chairs - Lets you add/remove chairs for each side and change chair type.
- Duplicate - Copies the table.
- Color - Changes the color of the table.
- Delete - Deletes the table.
- Bring to Front - Places the table on top of overlapping elements.
- Send to Back - Places the table behind overlapping elements.
To Edit/Duplicate/Delete/Realign Multiple Banquet Tables:
- Click on the first table you want to edit and then hold down on the "shift" key to select additional banquet tables to edit - OR - click-and-drag your cursor over all the tables you wish to edit.
- A dynamic menu of editing options will appear in the top-left of the canvas. To make an edit, click on the appropriate item. From left to right, the options include:
- Rotate - Lets you rotate the tables up to 360 degrees.
- Chairs - Lets you add/remove chairs for each side and change chair type for all tables.
- Duplicate - Copies the tables.
- Color - Changes the color of the tables.
- Delete - Deletes the tables.
- Bring to Front - Places the tables on top of overlapping elements.
- Send to Back - Places the tables behind overlapping elements.
- The rest of the options relate to re-aligning the selected items:
- Align Left - Aligns all selected tables with the furthest table to the left.
- Align Horizontal Center - Centers all selected tables horizontally at the point between the two tables to the furthest left and furthest right.
- Align Right - Aligns all selected tables with the furthest table to the right.
- Align Top - Aligns all selected tables with the table closest to the top.
- Align Vertical Center - Centers all selected tables vertically at the point between the two tables closest to the top and bottom.
- Align Bottom - Aligns all selected tables with the table closest to the bottom.
- Distribute Horizontally - Equally distributes the selected tables horizontally (left to right) between the two tables furthest to the left and furthest to the right.
- Distribute Vertically - Equally distributes the selected tables vertically (top to bottom) between the two tables closest to the top and bottom.
