Using Infrastructure and Electrical Elements

With our event floor plan software app, you can add elements regarding infrastructure items like indoor/outdoor restrooms, trash receptacles, persons with disabilities designations/areas, electrical/voice/data hookups and fire safety and prevention items (fire extinguisher, fire hose, fire exit, sprinkler).

To Add a Restroom to a Floor Plan:

1. Click on the "Floorplans" tool button on the Event Dashboard - OR - use the Quick Launch or Switch Event tool to select the appropriate Event and the "Floorplans" tool.
2. Find the appropriate Floorplan to which you want to add elements and click on it.
3. On the Floorplan Dashboard, select the "Library" tab in the left column and click on the "Infrastructure" icon .
4. Click-and-hold on the appropriate icon for the restroom type you want to use (indoor or portable) and drag it to where you want to place it on the Floorplan canvas.
5. A form will appear that lets you edit:
   • Color
   • Label
   • Width and depth (portable restroom only)
6. Click "Save" when you are finished. You will be taken back to the Floorplan Dashboard where you can view and adjust the position of the item by dragging-and-dropping it.

To Add a Trash Receptacle to a Floor Plan:

1. Click on the "Floorplans" tool button on the Event Dashboard - OR - use the Quick Launch or Switch Event tool to select the appropriate Event and the "Floorplans" tool.
2. Find the appropriate Floorplan to which you want to add elements and click on it.
3. On the Floorplan Dashboard, select the "Library" tab in the left column and click on the "Infrastructure" icon .
4. Click-and-hold on the trash icon and drag it to where you want to place it on the Floorplan canvas.
5. A form will appear that lets you edit:
   • Color
   • Label
6. Click "Save" when you are finished. You will be taken back to the Floorplan Dashboard where you can view and adjust the position of the item by dragging-and-dropping it.

To Add a Persons With Disability Designation/Area to a Floor Plan:

1. Click on the "Floorplans" tool button on the Event Dashboard - OR - use the Quick Launch or Switch Event tool to select the appropriate Event and the "Floorplans" tool.
2. Find the appropriate Floorplan to which you want to add elements and click on it.
3. On the Floorplan Dashboard, select the "Library" tab in the left column and click on the "Infrastructure" icon .
4. Click-and-hold on the disabled icon and drag it to where you want to place it on the Floorplan canvas.
5. A form will appear that lets you edit:
   • Color
   • Label
6. Click "Save" when you are finished. You will be taken back to the Floorplan Dashboard where you can view and adjust the position of the item by dragging-and-dropping it.

To Add an Electrical Hookup or Voice/Data Access Point to a Floor Plan:

1. Click on the "Floorplans" tool button on the Event Dashboard - OR - use the Quick Launch or Switch Event tool to select the appropriate Event and the "Floorplans" tool.
2. Find the appropriate Floorplan to which you want to add elements and click on it.
3. On the Floorplan Dashboard, select the "Library" tab in the left column and click on the "Infrastructure" icon .
4. Click-and-hold on the appropriate icon for the hookup point you want to use (electrical, telecom voice/data, telecom voice only or telecom data only) and drag it to where you want to place it on the Floorplan canvas.
5. A form will appear that lets you edit:
   • Color
   • Label
6. Click "Save" when you are finished. You will be taken back to the Floorplan Dashboard where you can view and adjust the position of the item by dragging-and-dropping it.

To Add a Fire Safety Element to a Floor Plan:

1. Click on the "Floorplans" tool button on the Event Dashboard - OR - use the Quick Launch or Switch Event tool to select the appropriate Event and the "Floorplans" tool.
2. Find the appropriate Floorplan to which you want to add elements and click on it.
3. On the Floorplan Dashboard, select the "Library" tab in the left column and click on the "Infrastructure" icon .
4. Click-and-hold on the appropriate icon for the fire safety item you want to use (fire extinguisher, fire hose, fire exit or sprinkler) and drag it to where you want to place it on the Floorplan canvas.
5. A form will appear that lets you edit:
   • Color
   • Label
6. Click "Save" when you are finished. You will be taken back to the Floorplan Dashboard where you can view and adjust the position of the item by dragging-and-dropping it.

To Edit/Duplicate/Delete an Element:

1. Click on the appropriate element on the canvas.
2. A dynamic menu of editing options will appear in the top-left of the canvas. To make an edit, click on the appropriate item. From left to right, the options include:
   
   
   • Favorite - Adds the selected item to your Favorites library.
   • Edit - Opens the editing modal window.
   • Rotate - Lets you rotate the item up to 360 degrees.
   • Duplicate - Copies the item.
   • Color - Changes the color of the item.
   • Delete - Deletes the item.
   • Bring to Front - Places the item on top of overlapping elements.
   • Send to Back - Places the item behind overlapping elements.
