NOTE: This article is for Events set up for collecting RSVPs. If you have set up your Event for selling tickets/collecting registrations, go to Ticketing & Registration.
You can group together attendees if they are coming as a team, tandem, couple, family, etc. This is great for weddings and fundraisers when couples or families are RSVPing/attending together as well as corporate/meeting events where colleagues from the same company are RSVPing/attending together.
IMPORTANT NOTE: By grouping attendees together, any attendee from the group can RSVP on the Event Website for all other attendees in the group.
To Group Attendees Together:
- Click on the "Attendee List" tool button on the Event Dashboard - OR - use the Quick Launch or Switch Event tool to select the appropriate Event and the "Attendee List" tool.
- For each attendee you want to add to the group, click on the checkbox to the left of their name.
- Once you have selected all attendees for the group, in the "Actions" menu that has appeared, select the "Group Attendees" option.
- Add a group name; select the primary attendee (head of group); and for all other attendees select their relationship to the primary attendee.
- Click "Save" when you are finished.
- The attendees have been added to the group and appear under the group name (which you can edit).
To Remove Attendees from a Group:
- Click on the "Attendee List" tool button on the Event Dashboard - OR - use the Quick Launch or Switch Event tool to select the appropriate Event and the "Attendee List" tool.
- For each attendee you want to remove from a group, click on the checkbox to the left of their name.
- Once you have selected all attendees you wish to remove from groups, in the "Actions" menu that has appeared, select the "Ungroup Attendees" option and confirm this action by clicking on the "Ungroup Now" button.
- The attendees have been removed from the group and now appear as individual attendees (in alphabetical order).
Video Tip - Go to the 0:36 mark and the 6:35 mark of the video to view information on two ways to group attendees together.
