You can sort Contacts in two ways:
- Quick filter the Contacts currently on-screen using a name, word or phrase.
- Advanced Search across all Contacts based on one or more search criteria.
To Conduct a Quick Filter of Contacts On-Screen:
- Click on "Contacts" in the main navigation bar.
- In the top right corner, click into the Filter field and type in the name/word/phrase that you want to search for; the system will search among the on-screen Contacts' first/last name, company and title. Any Contacts appearing on-screen with those names/words/phrases associated with them will appear in the results.
To Conduct an Advanced Search of All Contacts:
- Click on "Contacts" in the main navigation bar.
- Click on the "Advanced Search" button in the top right corner. Here you can search across all Contacts by typing in:
- First name
- Last name
- Company name
- City
- State
- Email address
- Phone number
- In the "Sorted By" field, select how you want the results sorted:
- By first name
- By last name
- By company name
- In the "That Match Tags" field, you can select one or more Tags to include in your search parameters.
- In the "Users" field, you can search by Contacts who do and do not have access to your account.
- Click the "Search Now" button and your results will be displayed momentarily.
To Save an Advanced Search and Create a Default Search:
NOTE: A default search will be the default results that are shown every time you click on the "Contacts" link in the main navigation bar. So if you want your Contacts sorted by certain parameters other than alphabetical descending by last name, you can set that here.
- Complete the search steps for conducting an Advanced Search outlined above.
- Once the search runs, find the "Currently Viewing" area just above the list of Contacts; click on the "Save This Search" link; and name the search.
- If you wish to make this the default search, click in the checkbox provided.
- Click "Save" when you are finished.
