Creating/Using Vision Board Templates

You can create Templates for Vision Boards that you use over and over again. For example, if you have collections of images for things like event design themes or rental items, you can set them up as Vision Board Templates and click a button to pull them into an Event any time you need them.

To Create a New Vision Board Template from Scratch:

  1. Click on "Templates" in the main navigation bar and click on the "Vision Board Templates" link.
  2. Click on the "Add Template" button.
  3. Enter the Vision Board Template name and click "Save".

This brings you to the Vision Board Template Dashboard where you can add unlimited images and categories to which you can assign images.

  • Adding Vision Board Categories
    1. Find the "Categories" box and click on the "Add" button.
    2. Type in the Category name and click "Save".
    3. Repeat until you have added all the Categories you need.
  • Adding an Image From Your Computer
    1. Click on the "Upload Images" button.
    2. Click on the "Select Images" button to select and upload one or more image files (.jpg and .png files only) from your computer. The image will be uploaded momentarily.
      • NOTE: A file name cannot contain any of these characters: \ / : * ? < > |
  • Adding an Image From Dropbox, Google Photos or Microsoft OneDrive
    1. Click on the "Link Images From Other Sources" button and select the source you wish to import images from.
    2. If you are not logged into the selected application/platform, a modal box will appear prompting you to log in. You may be asked to give permission to Planning Pod to access certain information in your Dropbox/Google/Microsoft account.
    3. Select the image that you wish to add to the Vision Board Template. It will be added momentarily.
    4. Repeat if you wish to add additional images.
      • NOTE: A file name cannot contain any of these characters: \ / : * ? < > |

After an image is uploaded, you can click on the "Actions" button under the image to:

  • Change the size of the image (small, medium or large).
  • Add a description.
  • Assign it to a category.
  • Download it.
  • Delete it.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Maximum file size for images is 2.55 MB; if your file is too large, you will need to edit the image to shrink the image size.

To Create an Vision Board Template from an Existing Vision Board:

  1. Click on the "Vision Board" tool button in the Event Dashboard.
  2. Click on the "Import/Export" button and select the "Save as Template" option.
  3. Enter the Template name and click "Save".
  4. After clicking "Save", the entire Vision Board has been saved as a new Template, which you can now edit and modify in the Templates area.

To Import an Vision Board Template into a New Vision Board:

  1. Click on the "Vision Board" tool button in the Event Dashboard.
  2. Click on the "Import/Export" button and select the "Import Template Into Vision Board" option.
  3. From the dropdown menu, select the Vision Board Template that you wish to import.
  4. After clicking "Save", the images and associated categories from the selected Template will be imported.
