Setting Default Email Templates for Notifications

Planning Pod gives you the ability to customize the default message and email address for transactional communication sent from your account. We have provided default email templates for the standard notifications that can be customized based on your business.

To set the default email notifications send from:

1. Click on your name and select "Settings" from the drop-down menu
2. Under "Communications & Alerts" choose "Communications Setup (Email)"
3. All of your connected email accounts will display on this screen (Click here for more information on Connecting your email addresses)
4. The Default for all notifications will be the @planningpod.com email. Click on the edit icon to the right of the tool to choose the email address it will send from.

To set the default message for notifications:

1. Click on your name and select "Settings" from the drop-down menu
2. Under "Communications & Alerts" choose "Communications Setup (Email)
3. Scroll to the "Default Email Template Settings" and select the template from the drop down to the right of the Email topic.
4. To view or edit templates click on "Go To Email Templates" 

The following Default Templates are available to edit before setting at defaults but cannot be customized on a case-by-case basis:

• Email a contact an invitation to collaborate inside Planning Pod (create a login)
• Email a newly setup Planning Pod user in your account (welcome email after login has been created)
• Email an automated reply to a newly submitted lead
• Email to notify users a Hold (for a Lead) is about to expire
• Email that acknowledges a payment received from a customer (thank you)
• Email a payment reminder to a customer (payment info auto-included)

The following templates allow you to edit your customized default message prior to sending it to a Contact, giving you the opportunity to personalize it for that particular individual:

• Email asking someone to review and sign a Contract
• Email asking someone to review and sign a Proposal
• Email that sends an auto-attached Proposal PDF file
• Email that sends an auto-attached Invoice PDF file
• Email a form/questionnaire requesting responses (link auto-included)
