When setting up a trade show floor or exhibition floor, you can add trade show booths one at a time or in single or double rows with aisles. You can also quickly make edits to a single trade show booth or to multiple booths at the same time, and you can add areas for concessions and bars/beverage carts.
To Add a Single Trade Show Booth:
- Click on the "Floorplans" tool button on the Event Dashboard - OR - use the Quick Launch or Switch Event tool to select the appropriate Event and the "Floorplans" tool.
- Find the appropriate Floorplan to which you want to add elements and click on it.
- On the Floorplan Dashboard, select the "Library" tab in the left column and click on the "Trade Show" icon .
- Click-and-hold on the appropriate icon for the trade show booth you want and drag it to where you want to place it on the Floorplan canvas (you can always move/adjust it later).
- A form will appear that lets you edit:
- Color
- Label or exhibitor name
- Booth number
- Voice and/or data hookups
- Power/electrical hookup
- Availability
- Ability to add multiple booths (covered below)
- Click "Save" when you are finished. You will be taken back to the Floorplan Dashboard where you can view and adjust the position of the table by dragging-and-dropping it.
To Add Multiple Trade Show Booths in Rows:
NOTE: This option is if you want to add multiple rows of trade show booths at a single time and have them automatically laid out in a grid; you can add one or more rows of single booths or rows of double booths (back-to-back) with aisles.
- Click on the "Floorplans" tool button on the Event Dashboard - OR - use the Quick Launch or Switch Event tool to select the appropriate Event and the "Floorplans" tool.
- Find the appropriate Floorplan to which you want to add elements and click on it.
- On the Floorplan Dashboard, select the "Library" tab in the left column and click on the"Trade Show" icon .
- Click-and-hold on the appropriate icon for the trade show booth you want to use and drag it to where you want to place your booth pattern on the Floorplan canvas (you can always move/adjust all booths in the pattern later).
- In the form that appears, click on the "Add Multiple Booths" checkbox.
- Type in the number of rows you desire, the number of booths per row and the format style (row of single booths or row of two booths (back-to-back) and the aisle width between rows.
- In the "Starting Booth Number" field, add the first number you wish your booth layout to begin with.
- Select if the booths have data and/or voice hookups and power/electrical hookups.
- Click "Save" when you are finished. All the booths will be automatically selected, so you can click on one and drag the entire group of booths to where you wish to place them.
To Edit/Duplicate/Delete a Trade Show Booth:
- Click on the appropriate booth on the canvas.
- A dynamic menu of editing options will appear in the top-left of the canvas. To make an edit, click on the appropriate item. From left to right, the options include:
- Booth number - Click in the field to change the table number.
- Favorite - Adds the selected item to your Favorites library.
- Edit - Opens the editing modal window.
- Rotate - Lets you rotate the booth up to 360 degrees.
- Duplicate - Copies the booth.
- Color - Changes the color of the booth.
- Data/Power Options - Changes if the booth has voice and/or data hookup and power/electrical hookup.
- Delete - Deletes the booth.
- Bring to Front - Places the booth on top of overlapping elements.
- Send to Back - Places the booth behind overlapping elements.
To Edit/Duplicate/Delete/Realign Multiple Trade Show Booths:
- Click on the first booth you want to edit and then hold down on the "shift" key to select additional booths to edit - OR - click-and-drag your cursor over all the booths you wish to edit.
- A dynamic menu of editing options will appear in the top-left of the canvas. To make an edit, click on the appropriate item. From left to right, the options include:
- Rotate - Lets you rotate the booths up to 360 degrees.
- Duplicate - Copies the booths.
- Color - Changes the color of the booths.
- Data/Power Options - Changes if the booths have voice and/or data hookup and power/electrical hookup.
- Delete - Deletes the tables.
- Bring to Front - Places the booths on top of overlapping elements.
- Send to Back - Places the booths behind overlapping elements.
- The rest of the options relate to re-aligning the selected items:
- Align Left - Aligns all selected booths with the furthest booth to the left.
- Align Horizontal Center - Centers all selected booths horizontally at the point between the two booths to the furthest left and furthest right.
- Align Right - Aligns all selected booths with the furthest booth to the right.
- Align Top - Aligns all selected booths with the booth closest to the top.
- Align Vertical Center - Centers all selected booths vertically at the point between the two booths closest to the top and bottom.
- Align Bottom - Aligns all selected booths with the booth closest to the bottom.
- Distribute Horizontally - Equally distributes the selected booths horizontally (left to right) between the two booths furthest to the left and furthest to the right.
- Distribute Vertically - Equally distributes the selected booths vertically (top to bottom) between the two booths closest to the top and bottom.
To Add Concessions and Bar/Beverage Cart Areas:
- Click on the "Floorplans" tool button on the Event Dashboard - OR - use the Quick Launch or Switch Event tool to select the appropriate Event and the "Floorplans" tool.
- Find the appropriate Floorplan to which you want to add elements and click on it.
- On the Floorplan Dashboard, select the "Library" tab in the left column and click on the "Trade Show" icon .
- Click-and-hold on the appropriate icon for Concessions or Bar/Beverage Cart and drag it to where you want to place it on the Floorplan canvas (you can always move/adjust it later).
- A form will appear that lets you edit:
- Color
- Label
- Width of item
- Depth of item
- Click "Save" when you are finished. You will be taken back to the Floorplan Dashboard where you can view and adjust the position of the item by dragging-and-dropping it.
