The information in the contact card of the Account Owner will display in areas like PDF headers, and email templates (When you first start an account!). If you need to edit the account owner information, like email, phone, and title, you can easily do this!
To update information for your Account Owner:
- Click on the Contacts tab, then find the Account Owner (They will have a star next to their name)
- Click on the name to enter into the contact card!
- You can update contact information like email, phone, website, and more.
- To update the name, you can click on "Update Name" and a panel will pop up. This is where you can edit the name, the title, company, and more.
- Click Save.
Once you've made edits to the Account Owner contact, it automatically update your account and your PDF headers (Unless you are using custom PDF headers. You will need to double check your email templates as those do not update when the Account Owner changes.
What if I need to switch out the Account Owner entirely? What if another current user needs to be the account owner now?
Sometimes, you don't just need to update the information, but you need to switch out the account owner entirely! Maybe that's you, or maybe that's a new member on your team! Planning Pod Support can help you make the switch easily. Here's what we will need:
- Make sure the new account owner is set up as a current user in your account- and make sure they have Super Admin access.
- Add them as a contact, then give them user access. They will need to go in and set up their username and password before we can switch.
- If you are setting up a business entity as the account owner, you will need to still create a contact for the entity; give this contact Super Admin access; and create a username/password.
- Email us at support@Planningpod.com and let us know you need to switch Account Owners to another user.
- If you are not the current account owner helping with the switch, then we will need confirmation to switch from either:
- the current account owner listed on the Planning Pod account
- the cardholder name used for your subscription
- the Owner or Senior Manager of your organization.
- You can include them in your email, or add them to our current email thread if you've already reached out.
Once we have the user set up and confirmation, our support team can make the Account Owner switch on the backend for you!
Please note: You will still need to update and review your email templates. I also recommend review your lead capture form contacts and your connected emails to make sure all is up to date! Also, review your billing contacts in your "Subscription" page and make any needed updates- if there's any issues with your billing, we will reach out to the contacts listed!
Also note: The system might need a moment to update fully on that backend. You might see the previous account owner's name on notifications, but that will adjust to the new owner name. If you notice the previous name on a notification and it's been longer than 48 hours, reach out to support and let us know!
